Ashes and Snow

I’ve come across the exhibition by Gregory Colbert “Ashes and Snow”, which has to be one of the most incredible collections of photographs ever taken. The photographs are not digitally collaged, which makes them hard to believe. The interaction between humans and animals is beautiful, and very powerful. Here’s some of my favourites…

Juan Francisco Casas

I love the work of this artist, he’s taken the bic biro (or which I am very much a fan) and created a photo realism style, almost treating the biro as a paint brush. The texture he is able to generate through layering of different stroke directions is incredible, and is something I am trying […]

A bit more sketchin

Film Fun in South Park

These were taken on my lovely Minolta X100 film camera on a sunny day in South Park.

Buffa-mole

So another of my ideas is to have a cross breading zoo. This is the first one – a mix between a puffa fish and a pig –  a Puffa Pig. There are going to be more like these…

Sunset in South Park

A couple of pics I took at sunset in South Park, Oxford. These were taken on my Canon Ixus 300 HS – a nice little compact.

Speelium

This was a visual representation of my answer to the Creative Pioneers question ‘How to make the world a better place’. It got me through to the final round at Crayon London which was a turn out for the books. For those of you who haven’t gathered it from the pics, Speelium is super floaty […]
